Organisme sans but lucratif, le Centre International de Documentation et d'Information Haitienne, Caribéenne et Afro-canadienne (CIDIHCA) a été fondé en 1983,
à Montréal. Il est, à ce jour, l'un des rares organismes ethniques francophones oeuvrant dans le domaine de la recherche, des arts et de la culture, dans la
métropole du Québec. Ses objectifs visent sur quatre plans principaux :
- Information et documentation
- Animation scientifique et culturelle
- éditions
- Productions audiovisuelles
A l'occasion du 25ème anniversaire de sa création en novembre 2008 le CIDIHCA a mis en ligne les Mémoires de la communauté haitienne au Canada qui est une présentation de son intégration et de sa participation au sein de sa communauté d'accueil.
The International center for information and documentation on Haiti, the Caribbean and the Afro-Canadian community was created in Montreal in 1983. To this dayit is one of the rare ethnic organisations of French language in Quebec dedicated to research , the arts and culture more generally. Its mission encompasses four major fields:
- Information and documentation
- Scientific and cultural activities
- Publishing
- Audiovisual productions
As part of the celebration of its 25th anniversary in November of 2008, CIDIHCA has put on line the Memories of the haitian community in Canada which is a presentation of their integration and their participation in their adpoted community.
