Ils sont aujourd'hui plus de cent cinquante mille au Canada et dont les deux tiers vivent sur l'île de Montréal. Ces photos nous révèlent une communauté dynamique . Ce sont des photos qui racontent notre séjour à Montréal . Ici et là des gens manifestent , assistent à des concerts, vont en pique-nique, se marient , font jouer leurs enfants. En soixante ans s'est constitué à Montréal une communauté avec sa centaine d'associations ,ses pr�f�rences , ses petits commercants, ses artistes, ouvriers, sportifs et intellectuels . Au bout de cinquante ans cette île est devenue nôtre .
Ces photos révèlent dans leur simplicité notre refus à rester des étrangers en terre d'accueil . Ces photos nous concernent tous, car désormais nous faisons partie de la famille m�me si on nous considère comme des étrangers du dedans .
There are now more than one hundred and fifty thousand Haitians in Canada, two thirds of them living on the island of Montreal. Pictures posted on this site show a dynamic community and its life in Montreal. Here and there are people march for various reasons, who go to concerts, who pic-nic and play with their children. In sixty years was created a community with its hundred associations, its preferences, its small businesses, its artists, its workers, its sportsmen and women, its intellectuals. After sixty year, we can say really say that this island has become ours.
These pictures also reflect, in their simplicity, our denial to be an allien in the country. These pictures concern us all as we are now part of the same society even if some persons consider us as allien citizens.
